Woman arrested for identity theft and theft of property

Auburn, Ala. - On August 20, 2024, Auburn Police arrested Akemii Kishree Jackson, age 26, from Auburn, Alabama, on warrants charging her with identity theft and theft of property fourth degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a report involving a fraudulent debit card transaction on August 9. Police met with a victim who reported that an unauthorized purchase was made using the victim’s debit card on August 8.

Akemii Kishree Jackson was developed as a suspect, and after further investigation, arrest warrants for identity theft and theft of property were obtained. Jackson was located by police on August 20, and she was arrested in obedience to the warrants.

Jackson was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $6,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
